Together Alex and Dan founded Vata Verks with a mission to help solve and conserve water (and eventually gas) in a cheap and simple way. To bring an unmatched data visibility to plumbed utilities, and drive out inefficiency, leaks, and mis-use.
Until now, the “total used” report in the monthly or quarterly utility bill was all the data there was to guide users short of costly, and disruptive invasive solutions, or costly, and project delaying utility solutions. Deployments of either were few.
Vata Verks set out to streamline deployments of data acquisition technology by eliminating most installation and hardware costs, all of the bureaucratic hassle of 3rd party installed data outputs, and all tenant and building disruption, while also correcting the perplexing concept that your data wasn’t “your data” at all.
We set out to solve water, but found, to our surprise, that in solving water we could, with a little extra effort, solve natural gas, an area with no viable data options outside of the utility itself.

Auto-calibrating, auto-tracking, auto-correcting. Able to resolve flows to a fraction of a gram of water and a single BTU of gas*. Outputting highly accurate, high resolution data which is owned and controlled by the User, not shared with Vata Verks or anyone else.
